Srinagar, July 16(KNO): Indian Haj Delegation comprising Chairman Haj Committee of India (HCoI) A P Abdul Kuttay, Deputy Chairpeson and Member HCoI Er Aijaz Hussain have completed Hajj2022 pilgrimage and are returning today, officials said. They said that the HCoI delegation had left for Saudi Arabia on July 4, to meet pilgrims, to take stock of the facilities for Haj pilgrims of India in various sacred cities including Makah, Madina, Muzdalifa, Arafat, Mina and other holy places. The Haj delegation expressed their gratitude to Saudi government for putting in place quality arrangements for Indian pilgrims in all holy places especially in two sacred cities of Makkah and Madina. As per news agency--Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the Indian Haj delegation met Saudi Haj Minister and held threadbare discussion on the facilities being put in place by the Saudi Government also steps to be taken for further smoothening of Haj for Indian pilgrims. Er Aijaz, the Member of HCoI said that the Saudi Haj minister termed the Indian delegation as the role models and hailed steps taken by the HCoI for facilitating Indian pilgrims. Er Aijaz said that Haj Expo is being held in the month of October while as HCoI has received feedback from Haj pilgrims from various states of Indian and very soon a full-fledged Haj policy will be announced that will remain in vogue for the next five years. He said the Haj delegation has taken note of the a few loopholes and the difficulties faced by some pilgrims which will be rectified in the years ahead and all steps will be taken to ensure smooth Haj. Er Aijaz said this year Haj remained most smooth and peaceful while as elaborate arrangements were in place. He said that adequate arrangements have been made at New Delhi airport where Zam Zam water is being provided to the pilgrims. Er Aijaz said that the first Haj flight has also smoothly landed at the Srinagar airport where officials received the first batch of 145 pilgrims. He said more flights are expected to arrive in the days ahead and the last flight of Haj pilgrims will reached Srinagar by the end of this month—(KNO)
